Dungannon boys attend flea banquet

was very busy this past
weekend with a Stag and Doe
on Friday evening for Barry
Austin and Kathy Kerr and
one on Saturday evening for
Art Young and Isabel Foran.
Wayne Park, son of John
and Marina Park Rias gradu-
ated from the Mechanic's.
course at Fanshawe College
with a class "A" license.
Graduation exercises were
held Friday evening at the
college in London. Attending
were his parents and Shelli
Berlet of Port Albert. Wayne
served his apprenticeship at
Hamm's Garage in Blyth
where he • will remain em-
ployed.
At the monthly meeting of
the Dungannon Agriculture
Society held last Tuesday
evening, Carol Menary re-
placed Virigina Caesar as the
secretary of the society.
Steven Whitney attended a
two day insurance seminar
Monday and Tuesday of last
week at OMIA in Cambridge.
Joanne accompanied him
and used these two days to.
visit with former Kitchener
friends.
Christopher Whitney, 9
month old son of Steve and
Joanne Whitney, is a patient
in Wingham Hospital since
being admitted Saturday
with pneumonia.
Several parents from our
area along with their sons
who are members of the Flea
hockey teams in Lucknow,
attended the banquet held
Wednesday evening. Attend-

House. The junior choir
sang; When the Saints Go
Marching In.
The Youth Group will meet
in Dungannon Church on
Thursday evening and they
are having a.Bottle Drive on
Saturday. Please have bot-
tles ready.

shop on planning Sunday
School lessons is to be held
Wednesday evening, May 5,
at Ontario Street United
Church in Clinton.

Mrs. Louise Wilson, Prim-
ary Consultant for the Huron
County Board of Education,
visited the grade 1 class
rooms last week. Mrs. Wil-
son is a former teacher at
Brookside.
On April 29 grade seven
attended an operetta, The
Frog Prince, at Clinton Pub
lic School.
The class rooms involved
in the spring concert and the
junior and, senior choirs have
been busy practising. The
concert is, on May 6 at 8
o'clock.,
Grade eight went to Tor-
onto on Wednesday, April
28. There they ' visited the
Parliament• Buildingsand the
Science. Centre. Miss Bode
and Mr. Jewitt accompanied
them.
A film., was shown to the
students on Monday con-
cerning a blind girl in Africa
andthe skills, she was taught
at a special school.
Field -Day is to be held at
Brookside on May 19 and a
two 'pitch ball tournament is
planned for June 16.
Class pictures and individ-
ual pictures, which . were
taken a couple of weeks ago,
came to •the school last week
and were distributed.
The nurses will be around
to do fluoride teeth brushing
during the week of May 3.•
Grant prerequisite delays Kingsbridge playground

The students at St.
Joseph's School at
Kingsbridge will . have to
wait longer before a creative
playground facility is com-
pleted at their school. This
school . was designated a
community school under the
ministry of education a few
years ago and now the com-
munity association at the
school wishes to install the.

cover 25 per cent of the cost
of the project, ' the School
Board has been asked to
enter into an agreement and
lease with the municipality

hiring of Tracey E. Devlin of

has been made yet at which
school she will be teaching in
September.

Demonstration Program for
the City of Stratford. Alder-
