The April meeting of the
Kiniough Anglican Church
Women was held on Thurs-
day afternoon, April 8 at the
home of Mrs., Agnes Hod-
gins. The theme' of the meet-
ing was Easter,
The conveners -were Mrs,
Ed .Green . and Mrs. Midford'
Wall, who prepared a most
appropriate paper on the
glory of Easter and the
events leading up to it. Mrs.
Delbert Hedley presided and
led in the prayers. -
The scripture and medi-
tation on Discovering the
Gifts was in charge of Mrs.
Roy Collins and Mrs. Delbert
Hedley.
Mrs. Ronald Thacker read
the minutes of the previous
meeting and an entertaining
evening is planned for June.
In the evening members
attended the Passover. Seder
and a delicious pot luck
supper at Lucknow.
'Members of the W.M.S.
attended an Easter Thank
offering at Lucknowon Tues-
day evening and on Thursday
evening . the congregation
here held , pot luck supper.

A Good Friday service was
held at ;the church on Friday
evening at 8 'o'clock. Rev.
Arthur Scott was in charge
and some of . the young
people helped with the ser-
vice.

The. Young Couple's
group, which has just been.
formed at Trinity United
Church met last Wednesday
night with Jack and Nancy

Mrs. Louise Wilson; Primary
Specialist with the Huron
County Board of Education,
was the guest speaker. She
spoke about Early Childhood
Development and things to
do at home to help prepare a
child for school The group
plans to meet each month on
the first Wednesday evening
with two couples in charge.

weekend with his sister,
Katy and Larry Hackett.

the weekend here at their
home and visited with his

On April 8, Trinity U.C.W.
held their April meeting at
the home of Mrs, Tim
Reurink, with an attendance
of 22. The president, Ruth
Alton called the meeting to
order by reading an Easter
poem. Devotions were open-
ed with Joanne Hakker lead-
ing in prayer. -
Suzanne Andrew gave the
meditation on Good Friday,
assisted by Shirley Hackett,
Hannie Scott, Nancy Parrish
and Betty Ritchie, Joanne
Hakker closed the devotions
with a prayer.
The roll call was answered
with an Easter Thought. For
the study period, Ruth Alton
read a monologue. The Wit-
ness and then conducted a
question period on how we
thought we would have react-
ed with we had been there on
Good Friday when Jesus was
crucified. Isabel Hunter read
the Legends of Easter and
Ruth Alton 'led .in prayer.
Mayme Wilkins conducted
the Bible Study, from Micah
6: verse 8, studying the two
different kinds of Justice,
Retributive and Distributive,
with a question period fol-
lowing. Isabel Hunter read a'
poem, Easter,
The president, closed with
prayer and a social hour
followed.

difficulties, the program offers
financial assistance and financial
management counselling.
BROADENED ELIGIBILITY.
The farmer must have equity in the
farm business of between 10% and a
new upper limit of not more than
60%. Present interest and principal
payments must exceed 200/o of
operating costs...
The total value of food or tobacco
products produced on the farm in
. 1981 has been reduced to $12,000.
ASSISTANCE
Farmers can take advantage of one,
or more, of the following options:
1, Deferral of interest by the lender
on loan(s) for a period of six
months balked by a Provincial
guarantee. During this time, the
lender will not compound the
interest.
2. An interest reduction grant on
floating-rate loans and short term,
