but lose series to

Teeswater 9 - 7 on Sunday

Friday night's game, but the.
Lucknow team came out
determined to give Teeswat-
er a run for their money.
Randy Alton started the
Sepoys' challenge with his
goal at the 19.27 mark and
John Hamilton and Andy
Sheddon scored ending the
period 3 - 2 for Lucknow.

Lelia Rau of the Lucknow Figure Skating Club placed firskin
the Novice Ladles Interpretive Freestyle event at the annual
Interclub Figure Skating Competition held at the St. Marys
Arena on March 7. She received the Jeffrey -Pettit trophy
awarded to the gold mechdhit in the category. Leisa coaches

Matthew Drennan. The next
three goals for Lucknow
came from Brad Rhody, Joel
Sutton and Teri", Stanley, all
was in net for the first time. unassisted.
Outlawsdown two ,
in final series
The Lucknow Outlaws are
- playing their final playoff
series against the Bervie
Raiders. The best out of five
series began last •Wednes-
day.
The Outlaws managed to
• keep the Raiders from scor-
ing, unfortunately the Out-
laws did not score either. The
game went into overtime and
still no one scored.
They then went into sud-
• den death overtime and with
four men on the ice for both
•
teams, no goalies; the Raid-
ers finally scored.
The second game was
played Sunday. The Outlaws
• managed to hold the Raiders
scoreless until late in the
final period when The Raid-
ers slipped one past the Out-
laws. Despite the Outlaws
final efforts, the game ended
in a 1 - 0 score.
The Outlaws must win the
next three 'games to win the
playoff series. Good luck,

The defense of Jeff Taylor,
David Errington, John Ham-
ilton and John McLeod play-
ed good solid hockey and
kept Teeswater at bay: Pat
Murray put one final goal
past Teeswater. Brad Aitchi-
son' made one tremendous
save after another against six
attackers to keep the final
score at 6 - 5 for the Sepoys.
Back in Teeswater on Sun-
day the Sepoys fell behind 2 -
0 in the first period, but early
in the second they tied it up
on goals by Pat Murray and
Grant Gilchrist. With Jeff
Taylor hurt in the first period
and Andy Sheddon out with
injuries, the team roster was
again down to 10.
At the end of the second, it
was tied 4 4 on goals by
Grant Gilchrist and Bob Sur-
ridge. •
Doug Stevenson popped in
a quick one in the first
minute of the third to put
Lucknow into the lead, but
the Sepoys couldn't, hold, on.
TeeiWater scored four goals
and when all seemed lost
• .'Doug Stevenson scored again
and Grant Gilchrist picked up
his hat trick to, bring the
Sepoys within one.
Lucknow pulled their goa-
lie and poured on the pres-
sure with six attackers, but
Teeswater got by to score
one in the open net clinching
the series.
The Sepoys gave their all
during the year and are a
credit to their town. They '
proved during the final series
they can play hockey as
gentlemen even when- it is
tough to do because so many
players have been put out
due to unnecessary injuries.
• The fans appreciate, the
great hockey provided by the
Sepoys over the season. The
Sepoys will wrap up their
first year with a dance and
banquet in May. Fans are
'welcome to come and join in
the fun.
