Mrs. George Henry spent last week in Goderich visiting with' her friend, Catherine MacPherson. On Sunday, Jean's brother; Gordon and Mrs. Elliott visited with her. Alex and Ella Hackett have just returned from a most enjoyable two week bus trip to Southern Texas, Mexico, and Corpus Christi: The Official Board of St. Helens - Ashfield pastoral charge met at Trinity. After that the club started a loaf called Zuni Corn Bread which. Mrs. Ray- nard finished after the meet ing. The meeting closed by members sampling .some of the loaves of bread they had made, accompanied with re- freshements served by Mrs. Raynard. trinity 4-H home activities were taken; up. Secretary Debbie Raynard read the minutes of'the last meeting and they were adop- ted. With the help of . Mrs. Hackett several members made English muffins. The members then • discussed nuts, seeds, dried fruits, flour. power, protein, vita- mins, fat, minerals, . fibres, white versus whole grain flours, enrichment, calories, nutrition scramble. The also discussed the theme for their arty and where we will hold the party. The remaining members helped make English muf- fins. They then sampled some of the breads that were brought for home activities. The meeting concluded with the members sampling the . English muffins they made and Mrs. Hackett serving refreshments. The girls learned to, knead Buttermilk Bread: They made Finnish Health Bread which Sally baked after it had risen. President Tracy Hill open- ed the meeting. Cathy Snyd- er read the minutes of the last meeting. Andrea Smith was recording secretary for this week's meeting. The members read through the lesson on Bread Milk and while the Butter- milk Bread was cooking, they chose their • club name, Erainy Breads: . Sally then explained how to punch the bread, d6wn to knead it a second time.
