Home from
Florida trip

Miller returned home from a
two week vacation in Florida.
Places visited were Lake
City, Crystal River, and Or-
lando. On route to and from
stop overs were made at
Dayton, Ohio; Sweetwater,
Tennessee; Marietta, Geor-
gia. and Sliaronville, Ohio.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Todd
visited •with Mr. and Mrs.
John Bick of Holland Land-
ing on the weekend. While
there they attended a
"1960's dance" in Toronto.
Injured in accident

Bill McAllister, son of Bob
and Ethel McAllister, 6th
concession of West Wawa -
nosh, was injured early Sun-
day morning in a single car
'accident, when the vehicle he
was driving northbound on
County Road 1 struck a tree
about one-half kilometre
south of Dungannon: He is a
patient in University Hospit-
al, London.
Sympathy is extended to
the family .of ' Albert 'and
Pearl Mason of Londesboro
on the sudden death of their
17 -year-old son, John Eric.
His mother was the former
Pearl Culbert, daughter of
the late Nelson Culbert, and
Blanche Culbert, who still
resides on the 4th concession
of West Wawanosh. He was
riding a bicycle when he was
struck , by- a • pickup truck
driven' by a Petrolia man. He
is survived by one brother,
Ronald at home, and five
sisters, Mrs. Doreen . Hamil-
ton of Palmerston, Mrs. Fay'
Hani lton of•Listowel, Juday,
Joan. and Rose, all at .home.
Spring burial will be in Blyth.

Mrs. Mike Bendig and Joel
of Goderich on Saturday, in
honour of Bill Park, who
celebrated his birthday on
that day. All members of the
family were present.
Mary Bere went to London
with her cousin, Jean Car-
ruthers on Saturday, where
they visited with Jean's
mother, Mrs. Florence Stoth-
ers in Parkwood Hospital.
They also saw Mary's son,
John Bern,
Surprise visitors 'on Sun-
day, with Jim and Margaret
Errington, celebrating Marg-
aret's ' birthday with a pot
luck smorgasbord, were her
mother, Mrs. Wesley Dah-
mer; brothers, Earl and. Ruby

Matthew, Carl and Helen
Dahmer, Maria and Jason;
niece, Jann and Hans Nieuw-

kinettes
The Kinettes are quite
actively involved in different
activities. Some of the girls
• attended the. Zone K 40th
anniversary in Clinton and
report a wonderful evening
of entertainment and food.
The last general meeting.
was held at the ..home of
Marilyn Stothers on .Mardi 8
when the topic of catering
was 'discussed. The Kinettes
are divided into catering
committees to cater to the
Kinsmen at their dinner •
meetings. They also) plan to
cater at the Spring , Dance
and Casino night.
The Kinettes are now

items for the Legion's Bazaar
in ' November where they ,
