Atoms
lose
series
Ludlam' , Wainse y, 1111, 1S2—Ps S
The Lucknow Atoms were
eliminated last Tuesday ev-
ening from any further play-
off action by the Brussels
Atoms. This was a hard
game to lose for the local
boys as they led the game all
the• way until the last two
minutes of the third period.
Brussels then tied up the
game and sent it into over-
time after Lucknow . was
called on a questionable pen-
alty. Midway through the 10
minute overtime period,,
Brussels scored. The Luck -
now lads put on a tremen-
dous effort in this game and
deserve to win.
Scoring twice in the first
period for Lucknow was Brad
Murray, assisted both times
by Rod• Crich and Scott
Gibson. Brad scored again in
the second period unassist-
ed. The third. period. saw
Scott Gibson score two goals
assisted by Brad Murray and
Rod Crich. Brad Murray
concluded Lucknow's scoring
assisted by Rod . Crich and
Kent Campbell.
This Wednesday night,
March 10, at 7.00 p.m. in
Lucknow, the Atoms will .be
playing with the local Pee
Wees. It could best be
described as a mix and match
game - half a° team of Atoms
and Pee Wees versus half a
team of Pee Wees and
Atoms. It should be an
interesting game.
Sepoys to se:'1 '1-2
The Lucknow Sepoys start-

series • with Teesvi•ater , on
Friday night setting off on
the 'wrong foot. Grant Gil-

five minutes only to have

• make the final score 11 - 2.
Determined not to. let.
Teeswater ;• off that easy..
Lucknow came out flying,
back here in on Sunday. Ian
Montgomery popped in a
quick one at • the 19.10 mark.,
The firstperiod ended 2 - 1 in
Teeswater's favour.
The second period looked
much like the first with the
Sepoys playing super hock-
ey. Both the defense and
offense kept the fans on edge
of their seats. Mark Frayne
scored .-midway 'during the
period with' Teeswater sneak-
ing one by to end the period 3
-2.
Down . by one again, the
boys had to play catch up
hockey. if. the fans thought
they had seen it all, the third
period • didnot disappoint
them.
Paul Hamilton scored to tie
up the 'game and it •looked
like overtime was on its way
when Randy Alton slammed
one in unassisted at the 44
second mark. Brad Aitchi-
son, who played goal for the
Sepoys on the weekend, cer-
tainly proved his talent on
Sunday as he made some
great saves for his home
team.
Teeswater will play buck-,
nowhere on Friday night at
8.00 p.M. and it should prove
to be an exciting game.
