This was a hard game to lose for the local boys as they led the game all the• way until the last two minutes of the third period. Brussels then tied up the game and sent it into over- time after Lucknow . was called on a questionable pen- alty. Midway through the 10 minute overtime period,, Brussels scored. The Luck - now lads put on a tremen- dous effort in this game and deserve to win. Scoring twice in the first period for Lucknow was Brad Murray, assisted both times by Rod• Crich and Scott Gibson. Brad scored again in the second period unassist- ed. The third. period. saw Scott Gibson score two goals assisted by Brad Murray and Rod Crich. Brad Murray concluded Lucknow's scoring assisted by Rod . Crich and Kent Campbell. This Wednesday night, March 10, at 7.00 p.m. in Lucknow, the Atoms will .be playing with the local Pee Wees. It could best be described as a mix and match game - half a° team of Atoms and Pee Wees versus half a team of Pee Wees and Atoms. It should be an interesting game. Ian Montgomery popped in a quick one at • the 19.10 mark., The firstperiod ended 2 - 1 in Teeswater's favour. The second period looked much like the first with the Sepoys playing super hock- ey. Both the defense and offense kept the fans on edge of their seats. Mark Frayne scored .-midway 'during the period with' Teeswater sneak- ing one by to end the period 3 -2. Down . by one again, the boys had to play catch up hockey. if. the fans thought they had seen it all, the third period • didnot disappoint them. Paul Hamilton scored to tie up the 'game and it •looked like overtime was on its way when Randy Alton slammed one in unassisted at the 44 second mark. Brad Aitchi- son, who played goal for the Sepoys on the weekend, cer- tainly proved his talent on Sunday as he made some great saves for his home team. Teeswater will play buck-, nowhere on Friday night at 8.00 p.M. and it should prove to be an exciting game. Chris Stevenson scored . two goals, assisted by Priestap and Vandervelde and Dale Priestap got the remaining. Neufeld, Michael Vandervelde, Derek Turner, •Brian Olson, and Darren Henry. Team coach is, Gerald Murray and team manager is Evans Helm. . In the consolation round Teeswater came up the winner after defeating Belgrave • 7 - 6 in overtime, and Tiverton 5 - 0. Mildmay won over Belgrave 2 -1 in their game. Ripley defeated . Junior Fleas dose 4-2 The Lucknow Junior Fleas played Wingham Saturday, February 27. In spite of their many efforts they. lost to Wingham with a score of 4 - 2. It was another extremely exciting game and hard played • on the part of Luck - now. Scoring for Lucknow was Justin Murray with both goals, who was one of the Senior Fleas that arrived to help out against the Wing - ham team.
