Blyth singers
The Blyth Festival Singers
will present a "Choral Pot
Pourri" on Sunday, March
14 at 3 p.m. in the ' Blyth
Memorial Mall.
This very popular com-
munity choir has enjoyed
sell-out performances since it
first came together in the fall
of 1980. Th 85. members
come. from a forty -mile rad-
ius • of Blyth to practice in
Memorial Hall every Monday
night. They are , under the
professional direction of Mr.
Laurie Rowbotham of.Listow-
el and accompanied by Mrs.
Arlene Darnbrough of God-
erich.
The Blyth Festival Singers
are an autonomous unit
within the larger parent or-
ganization, the Blyth Centre
for the Arts and represent
another direction of growth
in the ever expanding pro-
grams which the Centre is
offering to people in the
South-western Ontario . reg-
ion.
As their policy in all their
concerts, the choir will again
present, a variety of selec-
tions chosen to appeal to all
musical tastes. This concert
includes a range , from mod-
ern pop and Broadway tunes
to spirituals and works by
Mozart . and Schubert.
Members of the Blyth Fes-
tival Singerscome from
many parts of the ' Huron -
Bruce -Perth area. Those
coming from the Lucknow
area include: Doug Clark and
Nancy Brown.
Come and bring the -family
to enjoy an afternoon of
choral music presented ' by
people in .our community.

of one of their homes.'
Linda and "Lorne had
discoveredthat there were
two sheets of newspaper
behind the picture. They
were from . the Globe and.
Mail 1906. Further one of the
pages had a list. of the
counties. in Southern Ontario
with their wardens for that
year; (1906). In this list A.W.
Robb was named for Bruce
County and for Huron County
it was Hugh Spackman. .
The reign of Queen Vic-
_ toria was from 1837 to 1901-
64 years. So this picture must
have been painted after 1901
and before 1906. Also it came
along way to "land" in
Ripley here.

GLEN HURON FORD
MERCURY SALES. LTD.
Ti My Many Coltman and Friends,
1 am very pleased. to officially announce that 1 have
sold the assets of my company to
MONTGOMERY MOTORS LTD.
LUCKNOW, ONTARIO
To know that all of you will suffer no warranty or other
Ford product inconveniences mikes me very happy in-
deed. James and tan Montgomery bring with them a
wealth of service and sales experience, having been
working with their father, Gordon since '1948when he
established the Ford dealership in. Lucknow. When one
considers the closeness of the 2 locations you then realize
withregard to service, parts: availability, body shop
facilities, etc., just how efficient their potential for a
superb service department will be.
To know that most of my employees will beretained,
that Kincardine has not lost a Ford dealer, 1 will not now,
be forced . to leave, but will remain as General Manager
for the Montgomerys, is an amazing turn of events. This
unexpected development now allows me to remain as
your Ford Dealer until March 31, 1982, when the Mon-
tgomerys take over with their new company
"MONTGOMERY FORD MERCURY SALES LTD:"
I will be working with James, the new President, while
lan, the new Vice -President will be managing Lucknow.
I would now like to add. that, on Jan. 27, 1982, when I
announced that GLEN HURON " FORD would be closing
Feb. 28, 1982, things looked extremely bleak. I stated
publicly at that time that there can be a great future for
our area if we do not lose faith. I didn't, and still believe
strongly that we in Kincardine are fortunate indeed to
live here.
I'
