Dennis Brace' and infant. son.. Glen Haldenby Jr. had the misfortune to give his hand a nasty cut, while working with the chain saw. The hand required medical aid and several stitches. Mr. and Mrs. John Visser, R. R. 2, Listowel; Timmy. and Becky visited Saturday .with Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Hedley and family. Tracey Visser had gone to Kitchener to stay for the weekend with her aunt, Miss Cathy Hedley. Sympathy is extended to Mr. Donald McKenzie and family in the death of Mrs. McKenzie, who was the former Florence James of our community. Helyrmd W.I. • The Holyrood, Women's Institute held their Citizen- ship and World Affairs meet- ing on Thursday afternoon at the home of MTs. Lorne Eadie. A money gift was sent to the Hedley family in the loss of their home a and contents. A gift of a number of playing cards were received from Mr. and Mrs. Baker (formerly of concession 8) to be used at the euchre parties during the winter. Owing to weather conditions the party sdheduled for last Wednes- day night had to be cancel- led. The same committee will be in charge of the next one: Cards were signed for Mrs. Marion Harris and Mrs. Mark Johnston who. are both in hospital in London. Mrs. Alex Percy received a remembrance of sympathy in the recent death of her great granddaughter, Hiedi Jan- sen. Standing committee re- ports were given.
