Kairshea institute hosts grandmother's meeting
Mrs. Cliff Roulston was
hostess for the Kinloss. Kair-

Grandmother's meeting on
Thursday, January 21, at
1.30 p.m. The president,
Mrs. Harold Howald, opened
themeeting with a reading,
A Kairshea Holiday Diet.
Mrs. Allan MacDougall
read the scripture. The min-
utes and correspondence
were read by the .secretary-
treasurer, Mrs. Donald Mac-
lntyre..
Mrs. Donald MacKinnon -
reported on the Lion's dinner
catered to by the Kairshea
ladies. Mrs. Farish Moffat is
in charge of getting the gifts
for the patients in the Kair-
and District Hospital on
Valentine's Day. Mrs. Gord-
on Wall and Mrs. Frank.
MacKenzie will .look after the
program at Pinecrest Manor
in February. Mrs. Harvey
Houston reminded the ladies
that she will be expecting a
15 year update of each one's
personal history at the Feb-
ruary meeting.
Delegates this
year are the Public Relations
officer or member at large.

named to • go to the 85th,
anniversary dinner of the
F.W.I.O. to be held at the
Consolation. Hotel, Toronto,
on August 12, 1982.

George Lavis, formerly of•
Lucknow, passed avivay. at
Chateau Gai Gardens, Lon-
don on Sunday, January 17,
1982 in his 91st year..
Son of the late James and
Martha Hall Lavis, he was
born September .1, 1891 in
Somersetshire, England. A
veteran of the First World
War, he was predeceased by
his wives, Emily • (1951),
Helena (1958): and Fanny
(1981)..
He is survived by one. son,
Norman Coate of Sarnia and
two sisiters, Ada, Mrs: Alex
MacLeod, of Lucknow and
Florence,Mrs. , John Mac-
-.Leod of Saskatoon;: Saskatch-
ewan and two brothers, Reg
of \\. London and Harry of
Lucknow and several nieces
and nephews.
The funeral and commital•
service was held from Mac-
Kenzie
and McCreath Fun-
eral Home, Lucknow, on
Wednesday, January 20,
1982. Rev. Philip Ruch of St:
Peter's ' Anglican Church,,
Lucknow officiated.

Mrs. Margaret McIntosh,
wife of 'the late Wm. McIn-
tosh, passed away at the
County of Bruce General
Hospital, Walkerton on Jan=
nary 13, 1982 in her Ord
year.
She was the former Marg-
aret Kennedy, daughter 'of
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kennedy
of Kinloss, where she was
born and raised. •
Mrs. McIntosh had been a
resident of Brucelea Haven
at Walkerton since July.
She leaves to mourn one
son Alex of Lucknow, and.
one daughter, Catherine of
Walkerton, a sister, Mrs.
Annie Scatterty of Harrow,
two brothers, Will and David
of Kincardine.
