in Kincardine last week.
A severe winter storm
struck our area last weekend.
It really tied up everything.
Last we cad Mr. and
Mrs. Elmer Culbert, Mrs.
George (Andrea) MacDon-
ald and son, Michael had a
very rough time when they
were on their way home from
Detroit. They had 'gone to
Detroit earlier in the week to
attend the funera:' of Elmer's
brother-in-law. They had got
to . St. Joseph's on Highway
21, when they first "noticed
the snow falling, and • the
further north they came the
worse the storm '. became.
With both Elmer and Andrea.
taking turns to drive, they at
last arrived in Goderich.
There they were forced to
stay at the Bedford Arms
Motel for three days on
account of blocked roads and
poor visibility. It was Tues-
day noon when they at last
reached home. It was a trip
they don't wish t repeat.
We are very pleased to
send our congratulations -to
Mr. and Mrs. Max. Riegling
on the birth of a daughter,
Marven. Frances, born in
the Wingham hospital Janu-
