Two bodis have been written on the history .of parts of Ashhidd - Frontier Ways To Modern Days (worth -est Ashfield) and Bush Trails to Present Trams (the Dun- gannon -Port Albert area). We have begun ,collecting information for so third book which will be a history of the Wester. Division of Ashfield eArnberley to Port Albert east to the Division I.ine. Wee are asking all the residient ts in this area to gather' much of the information about your .fano history.: back to the crown as you can get also stones of municipalities, old schools, churches, businesses of any kind, personal stories of the families who lived on these farms as well as pictures on any of these subjects. We esepecially want stories from our Senior Citizens or those that you have heard older members of your family tell. It is hard to believe when you look at the rusty weed grown lines that most of them supported six to twelve trains a day. hi order to preserve some of the glory of this era, 1 am writing a photo -history of : the Canadian National/Grand Trunk Railway in Midwestern Ontario. Urgently needed are photos or postcards of stations and Other railway related subjects between . Palmerston and Stratford, and GuelphlHanisburg'respectively as well as at Shallow Lake, Hepworth, Alkaloid, Elmwood,, Hanover, ,Ayton, PreW Ludcnow. Whitechurch, Blueva1e, Hearin, Wingham Jct:, Southampton, Part Etgin, Oilfo d, Turned, Dunkeld, Fulton.
