Langside folk enjoy. Christmas season

Teeswater Public School
held their Christmas concert.
Wendesday and Thursday
evening, - December 16 and
17 with a large attendance -
both evenings. The Teeswat-
er band wore their new
uniforms for the first time
that evening:
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wight-
man of Belgrave held their
annual Christmas dinner fa
their' family in the Belgrave
hall Saturday, December 12.
There were 42 members
present and as the weather
was favourable they all had a
real good time. Relatives
were present from Hanover,
Guelph, Brampton, Bolton,
Lucknow and Wingham.
Mrs. Wightman is the former
Jean Young of Langside.
Santa Claus visited both
Lucknow and Wingham on
the 12 of December.

The Whitechurch Presby-
terian Sunday School mem-
bers presented their Christ-
mas concert on Monday
evening, December 21 with a
real good :attendance. Dial-
ogues and. songs were pres-
ented by the children. A skit
entitled, Jelly for the Min-
ister, was acted out by three
Whitechurch ladies, Mrs.
Laurie Falkener, Mrs: . Don
Ross and Mrs. Myrtle Irwin,
which caused much laughter.
Allan Falconer showed slides
of his trip through Canada.
Christmas carols . were sung
by all present. Santa arrived
and presented gifts to the
children, also bags of candy
and an orange. It was an
enjoyable evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Ian Thomas
and boys visited relatives in
Cambridge. last week.
