A member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Lucknow Lions Club; he had served as the village clerk -treasurer for nine years. Members of. Lucknow Village Council and the town foreman were pallbearers at the funeral, August 15. Lucknow Village Council passed a motion at •the Angust meeting, permitting, the village to collect interest of Ph per cent over prime on overdue tax bills. R. 1, Holyrood was named Miss Lucknow Fall Fair from 11 ladies who participated in the annual pageant. She was crowned by last year's fair queen, Lois Hanna. Lois also performed the crowning dut- ies at the Midwestern Ont- ario pageant held at the Lucknow Fall Fair, Septem- ber 19. Named Miss.
