to attend from the Institute to
learn how to run the project-
or in case they wish to rent it
some time in the future.

Sacred Heart Roman Cath-
olic Church. in Teeswater was
the setting for the double
ring ceremony which united
in marriage. Andrew Sande of
Lucknow and Margaret Baks
of Teeswater on. August .29,
1981 at °3.30 p.m: Reverend
Ted Slaman officiated at the
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and; Mrs. John Baks of
R...2, Teeswater and the
groom's' parents are Mr. and
Mrs. William Sande of Tor-
onto..
The bride, given in mar-
riage by,'.her father, chose an
elegant gown of white poly-
ester sheer with a mandarin
neckline and high ' illusion
yoke front and. back accented
by a double layer of gathered
frill 'around the yoke. The
bodice featured .long full
bishop sleeves :with appli-
ques of alencon lace on the
cuffs. An empire waist high-
lighted the skirt which fell to
a long chapel train.- She car-
ried a bouquet of white lilies
and stephanotis, with peach,
pink and burgundy roses
accented by baby's breath
and plumose fern.
The maid of honour was
Cathy Macewko of Hanover,
friend of the bride, who wore
a floor length gown in dusty
pink with a diagonal cape
and gathered waist. She car-
ried . a bouquet of burgundy,
blush pink and Cloud blue
roses with dusty rose asters
and primroses accented by
baby's breath and plumose
fern.
Bridesmaids were Anne
Mann of Lucknow, Elly San-
de of Toronto and Marie
Sande of Vancouver, all sis-
ters of the groom. They wore
floor length gowns similar to
the maid of honour's in bur-
gundy and, carried . similar
bouquets. ,
The best man was Cliff
Mann of Lucknow, brother-
in-law of the groom. Guests
were ushered by the bride's
brothers, • Don Baks, Wilf
Baks . and Mike Oaks.
The organist, Teresa Mil-
len and soloists, Kim Letteau
and Shelley Letteau of Tees -
water, who accompanied on
guitars, provided the wed-
ding music.. The processional
was Wedding Song and the
recessional, Song of Joy.
A. dinner and reception
followed , at the Teeswater
Community . Centre where
the bride's mother received
guests wearing a .coral street
length dress and a corsage of
cerise orange roses and
yellow carnations in a cloud
of baby's breath. She . was
assisted by the groom's
mother, who wore a lilac
street length dress and cor-
sage of pink rosebuds, minia-
ture carnation' florets and
baby's breath.
The bride changed to a
navy and white sundress
with matching jacket accent-
ed by a corsage of red roses
and baby's breath. The
couple travelled to Ottawa
and Montreal on their.honey-
'moon and have been residing
at R. 5, Lucknow since their
return.
Honoured guests at the
wedding were the bride's
grandmother, Mrs. G. H.
Bs of ' Holland and the
br 's aunt and uncle, Mr.
and s• Antoon Baks, • also
from Holland.
Guests attended the wed-
ding from Toronto, Elmvale,
Quebec, Edmonton, Calgary,
Sarnia and Holland.
Hear deanery report
The October meeting of
the St. Augustine- C.W.L.
was held in the church base-
ment. Father Ed Dentinger
opened the meeting with
prayer followed by scripture
reading, given by Mrs. Le-
ona Hickey..
The 'minutes of the .last
meeting were read by the
secretary, Mrs. Mary Boyle.
Mrs. hickey gave the fin-
ancial report, and corres-
pondence was read by Mrs.
Mary Redmond:
A motion was brought forth.
on buying plants for the
church altar. These will be
purchased by Mrs. Monica
Beattie.
Mrs. Marg Glavin galve a
report on the deanery meet-
ing that was held in Zurich.
This deanery meeting is a
conference of all the leagues
in • the surrounding. area.
Topics. discussed were the
Year of the Disabled, Chris-
' tian :Faith and Your. Family,
Bursarys that are supported
by the leagues as well as
other items pertaining to the
leagues.
Paisley. Mrs. Harold Howald.
gave a very good . report of
the Grey -Bruce Area Con-
vention held in Ayton. She
mentioned that - August. 12,
1982 is the 85th anniversary
of the F.W.I'.C. To celebrate.
this each province is to have
an Institute twin from anoth-
er province. Ontario's twin is
Manitoba. Anyone wanting a
penpal from ..Manitoba can'
write to the head ,office iti
Toronto.
It was announced that
Russell Whitby—of Lucknow
°,
wouldbe showing slides of
Italy at the "At Home". and
that the 4-H leaders and girls
and their families were to be
invited. Arrangements for
the Christmas Party meeting.

The Fall Thankoffering of
the Lucknow Presbyterian
W.M.S. was held on Wed-
nesday evening, October 21
in the church. There was a
good attendance despite the
inclement weather.
Mrs. Morgan Henderson
presided and opened the
meeting with a Thanksgiving
verse and .a welcome to all.
Mrs. Jim . Aitchison had
the scripture and meditation.
Her theme was "Thanksgiv-
ing" and* she pointed I ut. the
many ways that people,
through the years, have been
blessed. Mrs. Noble John-
ston led in prayer.

as close to their natural form

est natural food better; the.
more refined it is: the harder
to digest and the less nutri-
tion, Judy explained. S1cie
showed many of her products
including whole wheat, flour,
brown rice, beans and len-
tils, raw sugar and teas. As
she showed the products she
told what vitamins or nutri-
tion each contained. Mrs:
Harold Howald thanked Judy
for her interesting and in-
formative talk and presented
her. with .a gift.
Mrs. Virden Mowbray con-
ducted a contest on Apples.

courtesies. A delicious lunch
