• The Lucknow Women's In-
stitute met on Tuesday, Oct-
• ober 13 at 1.15 p.m. in the
Lucknow Town Hall.
Dessert was served by the
hostesses, 'after which the
opening exercises and busi-
ness were conducted by the
president, Mrs. Marshall
Gibson.
TheLucknow Women's In-
stitute Christmas party is to
be held on December 8 at the
Parish Hall.
Mrs. James McNaughton
gave a report on the Split
Rail Festival which was held
at Fiesherton. The roll call
was answered by, An' article
from the Home and Country.
Mrs. Philip Stewart intro-
duced the guest speaker,
Mrs. Jack Needham, who
gave an interesting talk on a
trip that she and her husband
took to St. Lucia, which is an
island off the northern coast
of South America. They
spent three weeks on the
island doing voluntary work,
helping in the work that was'
being done before.

gift.
Mrs. Philip Stewart took
charge of the program and
read a Thanksgiving poem.
Several musical selections,
played by Mrs. Stewart Mac-
Gillivray on the piano, were
enjoyed.

happiness, and Mrs. Grace
