Mr. Len MacGregor, Ex-

years, has been transferred

Len, his wife and family have

with her sister, Mrs.. Harvey

Friday night.

Bus and Cynthia Anderson
have purchased the home on
the main street previously
owned by the date Les and
Mary . Schultz:. They. hope to
be completely moved and:
settled in by 'next weekend.

new West Wawanosh Insur-
ance -is almost completed and
it adds such an improvement
to the village.. Workmen are,
busy plastering the interior
and it is hoped that maybe

when they honoured them
with a surprise dinner at the.
Agriculture Hall on the occa-
sion of their silver wedding
anniversary which is actually
October 6. Their family con-

On Monday Sept. 27 W-
and Mrs. Ron Cornish flew
from Toronto Airport for a
vacation. Pat and Ron are
now on a two week tour in
Western Canada.

Mrs. Violet MacKenzie,
who hada nasty fall on a
Ripley sidewalk on Sept. 18,
reimned to her home in
' Ripley last Wednesday, She
stayed in the meantime with
Mr. and Mrs.. David
MacKenzie and Cheri Lynn

clear and loud about nine
last Friday morning in
Ripley. The call was from

the first sour ding in several
weeks in Ripley.
New unit in; dryer
On Saturday there was
considerable activity at the
Ripley ' Grain Elevator near
here. A trip over to the
elevator .. revealed that
operator Jim Scott of the
12th concession, Huron
township had replaced the
heater dryer with a brand.
new unit. It is bigger, better,
and faster, also longer than
the first dryet unit. Hence.
theme housing the
dryer which is situated at the
east side of the elevator had
to be lengthened.
Passed away ..
Mrs. Catherine ° Ann
(Kate) Wisner died in the
Kitchener Waterloo'Hospital
on Friday Sept. 25,: 1981 at
the age of .95 .years. Mrs.
Wisner was the daughter of
the late William Bell and
Catherine MacPhail and she
was born on the 8th con ces-
sion of Huron township rn
the third farm east of Ripley.
It was known as . the Bell
farm, then the Donald
MacLennan place, ° and now
part of the Murray and Mary
Culbert ferns.
She was a sister of the late
Mrs. Martina (Andrew) Pat-
terson of the 18th concession
of Huron township, and the
late Jack Bell of Ripley
Street in " Ripley, also four
more brothers and one ,
sister. Nieces in this area
are Mrs. Katherine (Patter-
son) Collin and Mrs. Marion
+. (Bell) Emerson both of Pur-
ple Grove, Csuncession 12
east and Mrs. Annie (Bell)
Shiells of i ucluio and
nephew Gordon Patterson of
Concession 10 in Huron
township. Along with her
husband Samuel G. Wisner
she celebrated their 66th
wedding anniversary last
She is survived by . a
• daughter Margaret (Mrs.
Merraid Kuebi) of Waterloo,
two sons W. Jack Wisner of
Waterloo, and Stewart L
