Log homes
Practical works of beauty
Mian Andrew of Point Clark builds log homes. Much
more than a log cabin built to provide shelter, a log home
is laboured over carefully with touch of the workbeing
done by hand. .

with its field stone fireplace and second floor balcony
overlooking the room. The stairway is made of logs split in
half and the banister is of cedar from the Simpson's bush.
The stained glass window pictured at the left is one of two
stained. windows in the gable end of the living room wall.
Allan works with Joe Burgess of Point Clark. Both have
completed courses in the construction of "log homes and
find they can be independent and work together. At
present they are working on' a house for Lloyd Courtney of
London, being built at Amberley, and will begin work on
another log horde at Parkhill later this fall.,
