Jell, de Jong of Lucknow
died suddenly at Wingharri ,
and District Hospital. on Fri
day, August 28, 1981 in his
68th year.
A farmer for 21 years he ,
farmed in Kinloss Township
before retiring– in 1976. He
was a lifelong member of the
Christian Reformed Church
and served during World
War II.
Born in Holland on April 1,
1914, he married the former
Gerda Dykstra on. May 20,
1941 in Holland.
He is survived by his wife,
four daughters, Joanne,
• Mrs. Bill Searle of Lucknow;
Nikki, Mrs. Eric Excel of
Kinloss Township; Janet,
Mrs. paul Gunter, Wood-
stock; and Syke, Mrs. Jim
Sutherland of Kinloss Town-
ship and one son, Gert,
Kinlos. Township. He 1. also
survived by 14 grandchild-
ren.
He was predeceased by his
parents.
Mr. de Jong rested at the
MacKenzie and McCreath
Funeral Home in Lucknow
until Monday, August 31,
1981 when removal was ,
made to Lucknow Christian
Reformed Church for a fun-
eral. service conducted by
Rev. .Bert Slofstrax at 2 p.m.
Five grandsons were flow-
er bearers and Bob Gilchrist,
Fraser MacKinnon, Lloyd
MacDougall, Ben Malda,
Nick Kloostra and Fred -Em-
berlin were pallbearers.
Burial followed in South
Kinloss Cemetery.

A daughter of the late
Robert Reld and Mary David-
son, she was born on May 25,
1890 in Ashfield Township.
• She married Chester Jos-
eph Nicholson at Stratford in
1929. He predeceased her on
July 13, 1974. ,
She is survived by a sister,
Mabel, Mrs. James H. McIn-
tosh of Winghain. She was
predeceased by five brothers
and three sisters.
The funeral service was
held at Stiles Funeral Home,
Goderich oh Saturday, Sept-
• ember 5,19j1 at 2 p.m.
Pastor E. J. Anderson of
First Baptist Church, Goder-
ich, conducted the setvice.
Burial followed in Hayfield
Cemetery.
• Pallbearers were Lloyd,
Jim and :Milvert Reid; Wil-
fred Llama, Pete Cook and
Gladwin Westlake.
