sunny weekends
WO September is here •
and with It the Mein time of
the year for holding fall
fairs. We are all hoping for,
nice,warm, sunny week ends
ahead, so those attending the .
fairs can enjoy these fairs,'
Many will visit the refresh-
ment booths for a cold drink
of pop. So will the wasps,
easily irritated and with •
mean .dispositions Their'
stitching stings can hurt, So
'• if they are around, take care.
• -The first report • of a
Sighting of 'their. gray paper
• nests: like a football with an
• entrance hole at the bottom
• came from Robert Scroggins
at Cottage 91; eruct .Beach, .
between the 8th and 10th cow
• cessions in 'Huron township.
• Mr: Scroggins said that it
I
was attached to a shed on an
• adjacent lot. Well If Mid
one . like . this; retreat as
• quickly as possible and warn
others to. stay away. In .a :
month. or so with these fall
' . night frosts:they will did out.
Besides the sweet pop they ,.
enjoy ripe pears and are
• always around these trees
chewing on the fruit,. They •
look a lot like honey bed but
. they do net collect nectar to
make wax, So at fall fairs, if •
it is a nice day, watch out for
• the hornets. *. • •
