bear Sir,
July 22, 1981. With many good wishes to everyone
• who remembers me and a very happy
1266 birthday to Dungannon,
Sincereli yours,
Mollie Whiteside.
(Mrs.
It is almost a' year exactly since I
arrived in Canada to OM in the 125th
birthday celebrations of Dungannon,
Ontario, an experience I will never
• forget, one of the most marvellous of
my whole life.
1 would like, through you, to 'thank
• everyone who showed me kindness
during my stay and to let them know
that I think of them very often. I am
also reminded of them by the many
gifts they gave me, now adorning my
home. •
Recently, during a B.B.C. broadcast
from our Dungannon here in Northern• ,
Ireland, I was invited to speak of my ,
trip to your country and of my
impressions .of Dungannon in Ontario.
It gave me great pleasure to tell of the
welcome I was given and of the
friendliness and generosity of the
people. I've a feeling you will soon be ,
having ,a lot more • visitors from
Northern Ireland, (aiming out to see
everything for themselves. I know my
new friends will be as kind to them as
they were to me.
1 have one ambition now, to travel
once more to Canada, in particular to
Dungannon, 'Lucknow and Goderich
but next time 1 hope to bring my
husband with inc to meet you alt and
share with me the joy of a holiday in
your beautiful country.
August, 1981.
