Previously, on April 1, 1981, Cheryl, received the Outstanding Student Award for her class. Attending the graduation ceremonies, besides her parents, were her grandparents, Eldon and Dorothy Miller, Lucknow, and her brothers and sisters Kathy, Randy, Melanie and Shane. Allan • and Margaret Hackett and Bill and Edna Ross were in Detroit on Saturday where ,they at- tended a Memorial Service. held at :the Harry Will Funeral Horne for the late John F. Ross.; He was Bill's brother and Margaret's uncle. Mr. and Mrs. . Wilson Bryan of. Orangeville visited recently with their -cousins, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Rice. Master Jim Lee of Edmon- ton, Alberta, is spending a month with ' his grand- parents, Mr. and Mrs. Al Hamilton,; Lucknow. Jim is the son of Patricia and Tom Lee, Edmonton. Mr. Bill Humphrey is a pa- tient a -tient: in St Joseph's Hospital, London, recovering from an operation which took place. last Thursday. Frank and Janet Penfold of Indianapolis visited in this area recently with Janet's uncles, Bill Bass and Edna, and Jim Nelson. She also visited with several cousins. Darryn Barry of Thornhill spent a weekrecently with, his grandparents, Bill and Edna Ross in, Lucknow. Leisa Rau of Lucknow celebrated her . eleventh birthday with a party at the Superscoop Icecreain Parlour on Thursday, July. 23. Her guests: included Julie Collins, Charlene ' Conley, Arletta .and Angela Glenn and her brother, .Adrian. Sam and Sherry Palmer and Michael of London visited with Grant Helm, Sharon Dietz, Leisa ' and Adrian Rau on the weekend and celebrated Leisa's birth- day on .Saturday, July 25. Master Jamie Whytock of Calgary, Alberta visited with his grandparents, Lloyd and Roberta Whytock on Sunday. Jamie and his mother, Anita Whytock are visiting family and friends in the area for three weeks. Junior Farmers paint playground equipment Approximately 25 en- thusiastic members of ..the West. Huron Junior Farmers attended a workbee at the home of their president, Murray -Irvin on June 30 to build and paint playground equipment for the. Ashfield Park. The playground is the club's .community, better- ment project for this year. On July 21 at the' club's regular, monthly meeting, the group again painted playground equipment for the park project. ' A report of the food booths. the club manned at the Noisy Ladies Baseball Tourna- ment and the Lucknow Trac- tor Pull showed these fund raising projects were suc- cessful. Special appreciation was mentioned for the effort by Lloyd and Glenda Morrison who co-ordinated the tractor pull booth. The dub plans to repair the sign at the Medical Cen- tre which they donated. It was decided the playground equipment for the Ashfield Park -would be put in place on August 3.
