May 15 to October 1. As well as the many
recreation facilities, the staff also prepares
a program of activities which change
through the weeks of the summer. They in -
'chide adult fitness classes; water olympics
' for children aged 8 -16, talent contests, kids'
crafts, the annual frog jumping contest,
flower arranging classes and Friday .night
bingos.
This week they are planning a Christmas
in July celebration complete with Santa who
will arrive by paddle boat and decorated

Campers come from Kitchen°er, Guelph,
London and everywheree in between says Al
and he hopes to have 208 seasonal sites to of-
fer campers within the nest year,
Twenty percent of ° the campers come
from within a 30 mile radius of' Fishermen's
Cove and Al wants to promote the seasonal
sites to local campers who can commute to
work from their campsite during the stall -
mer months.
Al and Wilda are both interested in the
tourist industry and point out that for every.
seasonal site a inistiy of Tourism study
shows the campers spend. $1,600 in the sur-
rounding area. Considering " Fishermen's
Cove has 140 seasonal sites, it's some idea of
how much the park is contributing to the
economy of the surrounding area.
The Ontario Private Campground
Association, of which Fishermen's Cove is a
member, are making a presentation to the
tourist industry in Germany offering
package deals for campers who want to take
a motor home to tour Ontario stopping to
camp at various parks through the pro-
vince. It is an unique way to see Ontario and
offers Europeans the chance to see Ontario
which reverses the trend of Ontario's tourist
seeking a package deal to tour Europe.
The park provides clean, comfortable,
rluiet recreation for the campers who choose
to spend their summer vacations at
Fishermen's Cove. Some . of the seasonal
campers plant flowers around their trailers
and build decks .alongside to create a .home
