July 22 1981, old 41st reunion The 41st annual McInnes w Falconer Reunion was held on : Sunday, July 12 at . the home of John and Marie McInnes in Wingham, , wt . so attendance of 88. In the afternoon, games were , enjoyed, by everyone after which lucky draws were won by Mary;,, flcicn /When. adel, George McInnes, Terry Weber and Karen McInnes. A display on the, McInnes family history which is being. compiled by , Anne McInnes created considerable interest throughout the afternoon. Approx- imately 37 women and eight men. met at the Lucknow Legion to board the bus with Marg Burkhart as tour guide. The bus left travelling via highway 21 to Petrolia. The group enjoyed a leisurely coffee break at the \ 011 Rig Tavern and con- tinued on to the ,Petrolia Discovery 'museum where they watched -•a film on the. history of oil around Petrolia and went on a conducted tour of working oil wells. wells. A noonlunch was enjoyed in the St. Clair Conservation. Park with lemonade and a delicious orange drink sup- plied by directors Mrs; Leonard Clarke and Mrs. Prank MacKenxle. After lunch, the bus con. tinned on to.Sarnia where another tour sure boarded 'the bus and gave a very educational tour of the Chemical Valley and • other • interesting landmarks ii- cluding"the Chippewa Indian Reserve. They then went shopping for an hour at Lammton Math, The men espeotally enjoyed this as the group was kept waiting by two of them whin the hour: was. up.
