• daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Glen Stanley, R. R # 2,
Ripley, The groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Maclnnes, Lucknow.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a long
white satin gown with lace
insert, stand •up collar and
matching train. A floral head
piece held a shoulder length
veil. She carried a bouquet of
peach and yellow roses with
baby breath.
Carol Ann Traher of Lon
don was maid of honour for
her cousin. Bridesmaids
were Mary Anne Farrell of
Edmonton, cousin of the
bride, and her sister-in-law,
Nancy Stanley, They wore
yellow crepe sleeveless
gowns, with long •sleeved
matching jackets carrying
bouquets of roses and mums.
Jack Maclnnes of Palmer-
ston was best min for his
brother. Ushers were Hugh
• Madnnes, brother of the
groom and David Stanley,
• brother of the bride, both of
Edmonton, All wore brown
• satin trimmed tuxedoes.
• Mrs. • Anne Eadie was
organist and accompanied

The dinner and reception
was held in the Ripley Com-
plex with Rod McDonagh of
Lucknow the emcee. Russel
Stanley, Anne's uncle, gave'
the toast to the bride.
Guests attended from Rip-
ley, • Kincardine, Lucknaw,
Goderich, Wingham, Palm-
erston, Islington, Delhi, Lon-
don, Paisley; Port Elgin,
Sarnia, Toronto, Thunder
Bay. Newmarket, Detroit,,
and Edmonton.

Purple Grove WI
On Wed.,July 15, the Pur-
ple Grove Women's Institute
had their summer meeting
at the Corrunurdty Centre.
They opened with the Open-
ing Ode and Mary Stewart
Coiled. Twenty members
answered the roll call.
President Deanna Scott
welcomed guests and 19
children.
Matthew Ch. O. of the
Scripture was read by
Maureen Collins.
Deanna Scott asked for
volunteers to help at the
Bruce County Museum Aug.
20. A number of members of-
fered to go.

Gladys Arnold discussed
the Tweedsmuir Books, and
asked for help to type for a
book that is being planned
about the history of Huron
Township.
The group will have its
public relations meeting in
September, with McDaniel
Phillips as guest speaker. It
was agreed that members
wotdd invite some guests.
They were asked to bring ar-
ticles for the Fall Fair
display to the September
meeting.
Plans are going well for
the Craft ShoW booth on July
24 and 25.
The group was treated to
some good jokes given by
Katherine Collins, Deanna
Scott, and Wilma Sutton.
The meeting ended with a
delicious snack served by
Isabel Stanley and Berthe
Weller.
