The St. Helens U.C.W.
met on Tuesday,June 9, at
8:15 p.m. At, the meeting
they entertained ladies. -from
the community and :local
U.C..W.s. The theme of the
worship was, Faith:
Mrs. Gordon McPherson,.
opened the meeting with the
call to worship. Mrs. Gordon
McPherson led in the respon-
sive reading..
The scripture lesson'. was
read by Mrs. Tom Todd. The
meditation was read by Miss
Isabel Miller and .a prayer by
Mrs. Gordon McPherson.
Mrs. Ross Errington had a
reading. Mrs. Cheryl Cronin
sang. Mrs. Frank McQuillin
and Mrs. Ross Errington
took up the .collection and
Miss Isobel. Miller gave the
offering prayer.
The guest speaker, Mrs:
Jean Young, was ' introduced
by Mrs. Don. Cartieron. Mrs.
Young is the executive: dir-
ector of. the Huron County
Town . and Country . Home-
makers. She, showed slides
and gave an interesting and
informative talk on her agen-
cy.. .
Peggy Gordon thanked
Mrs. Young, Mrs.. Cronin,
and Barbara Cameron, who
provided piano music for the
meeting. Mrs. Cronin sang.
another selection and Mr.
Arthur' Scott gave the bene-
diction.
Following the meeting the
ladies enjoyed a social hour.

:for Octo r bazaar
Pine River U.C.W. met at
the home of Mrs. VVilsoh
Farrell in Kincardine for
their June meeting. Presid-
ent, Mrs. Jack •Campbell,
read the poem, Did you
forget?, followed by the
U.C.W. Purpose.
Thirty ladies answered the
roll call, Name a way we can
make life easier for a handi-
cap person.
Although no summer
meetings will be held, the
ladies will be working at
quilts, crafts, preserving and
gardening in preparation for
.the ,annual Kountry; Kitchen
Bazaar In October.

ship was presented by Mrs.
Glen Boyd. Scripture . read-

rell. Following a reading.by

was offered by Mrs. George

On Tuesday, June 9, mem-
bers of Unit 3, Lucknow
U.C.W.. spent a pleasant
afternoon entertaining and
visiting with the residents of
Pinecrest Manor.
Everyone enjoyed singing
some of the old familiar
hymns, with Mrs. Harvey
Houston leading and Mrs.
W. J. Johnston at. the piano.
Duets were sung by Mrs.
Houston and Mrs. Raynard
Ackert and by Mr. and .Mrs.
Ackert. Mrs. Johnston con-
tributed a medley. of piano
selections.
