The June meeting of the
Lucknow Presbyterian
Church W.M.S. was held in.
the church on Wednesday,
June 3, with a good at-
tendance. Mrs. Little presid:
ed and opened with scripture
and a hymn.
Mrs. Jack MacDonald
gave , the topic on India,
demonstrating on a map the
different locations of mis-
sionaries who are working
under the church of North
India.
Miss. Lig11a Finlayson gave
a meditation . on the compar-
isons of Stephen and St.
Paul. The Prayer Circle was
taken by Mrs. Wallace. Wil-
son, Mrs. Stanley and Mrs.
Robt. Reid.
Bale money was collected.
Mrs. Jack Needham will be
the guest speaker at the. July
meeting. Mrs. Morgan Hen-
derson gave a report of the
Presbyterial held in Moles-
worth on May 25:. The Glad
Tidings was reviewed ' by
Mrs. Brooks, followed by a
piano instrumental by Mrs.
Rutherford.
After singing a hymn,
Mrs. Robt. MacDonald clos-
ed the meeting with prayer.

Tanya Hughson of Cal-
gary, co-founder and presid-
ent of the organization, I Had
An Abortion, spoke at F. E.
Madill . Secondary . School in
Wingham Thursday, .June 4.
She spoke about the de -
Pression and guiltwhich. fol-
lowed her decision to have an
abortion as a teenager. She
now acts as a consultant for
women who are considering
abortion and presents all the
alternatives - available. - She
will also continue as consult-
ant should the woman choose
to have the abortion.
Hughson commented .that
90 per cent of the women
considering abortion will not
choose to have the abortion if
they are given time, informa-
tion, alternatives and consul •
-
tation.

Chatham. Mrs. Courtney
gave a very full account of
the activities that took place.
Hertalk was enjoyed by all,
especially the lighter rnorn-
ents when she told the ac-
counts of two of the speakers
who talked on by gone days
of the CWL.
A plant sale was held,
followed by a light lunch.

will nor be entitled to the cash bonus but only to the original
return payable, as printed on the Bond. certificates. Bond-
holders may continue to cosh interest coupons each year
and be entitled to the cash bonus.
