The June meeting of, the
Holyrood Women's Institute
was held on Thursday after-
noon at the home of Mrs.
Frank Maulden.
Mrs. Lorne Eadie presided
and welcomed everyone, and
read a poem, A Woman. The
roll call was answered with,
Your pet peeve as a consum-
er, as this was the Family
and Consumers Affairs meet-
ing.
- Mrs. William MacPherson
read the minutes and also the
communications. Two dates
to remember are the hospital
auxiliary' tea at Ripley on
June 16 and August 13 for
Holyrood's day at the Bruce
County Museum at South-
ampton. In place of the
August meeting a trip is
planned to the Blyth Centre
for the Arts.
Plans were made for some
further improvements to the

hall. Judges for the Brown-
ies' contest were Mrs. Hugh
Lane, Mrs. Don Bushell and
Mrs. Bill Burt. The winners
were 'Mrs. Orrie Gingrich,
Mrs. Gerald Murray and
Mrs. Ellwood Elliott.
The report of the Bruce
South District meeting at
Ripley was given by Mrs.
Alex Percy and Mrs: Lorne
Eadie.
Mrs. Charles Murray was
in charge of the program and
gave . an interesting topic,

Mrs. Raynard Ackert con-,
ducted a colour contest. Mrs.
Gerald Murray gave the

Ontario. Mrs. John Scott

day party for their cousin,
Mrs. James Fraser. (Sarah
