pley students enjoy outdoor art classes
Mrs. Jan Burnie, librarian
at the high school and
teacher of art for grades 7
and 8, has her students doing
theeir art ' work upstreet ih
Ripley for the past couple of
weeks. On the nice days
small groupsof twdor three
sit scattered . in different ,
spots apparently sketching.
and drawing different
buildings. Outdoor education
can ,be a wonderful thing, a
personal, .experience forus
all the way from one room
school SS No. 5 to O.A.C. in
Guelph. Cecil Mooney of
Woodstock understood this
when he attended the Ripley
continuation schoor and
convinced the principal,
Mrs. White, that it would be
a good thing tolet the boys
build an outdoor skating rink
behind the school prior to the
erectionof the metal covered
