Maurice Miltenburg is releasedfrom hospital

that Maurice Miltenburg has
been discharged from , hos-
pital and is recuperating at
his home. '

Saturday evening.
Congratulations to Paul
and Joni Dalton, Lucknow on
the birth of a baby daughter
this past week. She is
, another granddaughter for
Mrs. Clarice Dalton.
Henry and Bernice Dren-
nan are enjoying a trip to the
West.
Judy Tigert received her
Bachelor of Science Degree
in Nursing from McMaster
University, Hamilton, at the
Spring Convocation held' on
May 29th,..:. Attending ' the
ceremonies were her par-
ents, Jack and Rita Tigert
and sister, Jennifer. Her
brother, Glen of Calgary,
Alberta, was also able to
attend as hewas home that
weekend to be an attendant
at a. friend's wedding.

Lisa Frayne's tap dancing
hal and Highland dancing clas-
ses performed for their par-
ents:. As this was the last
:class for theseason, refresh-
ments were served after-
wards. Classes will' resume
again in the fall.
Kingsbridge Kurrleulum
Track and field day was
held at St. Joseph's school on
Friday under sunny . warm
skies.
In the junior division win-
ning for thegirls were,
Maureen Stapleton; Chris-
tine Connelly, Lisa Card.
Thi'` boys winners were.
Shawn Wilson and. Ron Plas-
schaert (tied), Brian Red-
mond, Vince Doherty.
Intermediate gilds winners
were Mary Katherine...Staple
ton, Linda ' Van Osch, Sally
Van Osch and Colleen Van
Osch (tied). Winner for the
boys were Darren Connelly,
Pat Frayne; Edward Plas-
schaert.
In the. senior "girls division
the 'winners were Christine
Stapleton,Gerda Hendricks,
Vickie Doherty. Winner for
the senior boys were Tom
Gilmore, Ken Van Osch, Dan
Wilson.
These winners' will com-
pete in . the Zone Track and
Field Day. in Wingham on
June :17th.
Some children from . the
school made their First Holy
Communion at St. Augustine
on Sunday: They were Chris-
topher Eedy,' Michael Bow-
ler, Brian Olson,David Led-
dy, Helen Theony; Patricia
Stapleton, Roger Mitten-
' burg, Connie O'Connor.

The June : meeting was
held in the Parish . Hall' 'on
Monday evening, ' June .1.
President, Clarice Dalton,
opened the meeting by lead-
inc in the League Prayer.
Minutes of the previous
meeting were read by sec-
retary, Delores Van Osch: and
approved as read.. Several
correspondence wasread by

correspondence secretary,
Betty Frayne.
A Motion was trade by
Nokia Hendricks, seconded
by Tina VanDiepen, that this
being the Year of the Handi-
capped, the League: make 'a
sizeable donation to the
parents of a handicapped
youth in the Parish to assist
in his needs in any way. All

The annual Parish Picnic
will be held at the Ashfield
Park on Sunday, July 19,
with the C.W.L. in charge as
this is their social function
for the celebration of the 60th
anniversary ,of the C.W.L. in
Kingsbridge, as well as the
London Diocese. Two cb-or-
dinators are needed to be in
charge of the events for this.

Grade seven, mothers are

graduation dinner to be held

be presented to .the First ,

Hall, University of Western.

Spring Birthday Party for the
seniors will be held on. Wed-
nesday, June 10.
The Pro -Life report was
given by Teresa Courtney.
She reported that the Fam-
ous People Players would be
coming to Goderich on Satur-
day evening, June 6. Thisis
sponsored by Pro -Life. Birth-
right conventionis to be held
at York University, Toronto
in June. Pro -Life is sending
two delegates.
Bernardine Kinney repott-
ed visiting sick and shut ins
and that the Kingsbridge
Area Seniors are planning to
show 'a home movie . in June.
I, • Father Dentinger then
joined in the . meeting and
announced , that July .13 will.
be the. annual Pilgrimage to
the Shrine at St. Mary's. He
also read: an enlightening
poem, 'Heart ,Gifts.
It was discussed briefly
with St. Augustine Council to
hold a combined meeting in
October and obtain a good
speaker. All were in favour of
this suggestion.
