• Taxes for public school supporters oin Ashfield
• Township will increase 19.5 per cent in 1981 and
Huron -Perth Separate• school supporters will pay an
increase of 14.7 per cent.
This is an increase of 3,1,62 mills over 1980 for public
school supporters made \'up of 11.55 mills for public
school apportionment, 3.45 mills for high School, 9.34
• mills to county and 7.28 'mills to township. •
On a S5,000 .assessment the 1981 taxes will be $954.90
of which $553.60 is for school purposes, $236.80 is for
• township purposes and $164.50 for county purposes..
• The increase for separate school supporters will be
23.25 mills. •
Council passed the proposed budget on May 19 at their
regular monthly meeting. • .
Applications for severance were approved for Wayne
Snyder, 1 part lot 5, con. 4 E.D. and Harvey Kilpatrick,
part lot' 11, con. 10 E.D.
The tenders of Robert Nicholson Construction of $800
for the open part of the Kinney Drain and Van Bree
Drainage of $7,837 for the tile portion and $3,800 for the
• highway crossing were accepted.
The tender of Van Denbeek Construction, R. R. 2
•Denfield to construct the MacIntyre Gabion .Weir Repair
• at a price of $10,540.00.
The application of_ Werner Ritgen to clear approx-
• imately 4 hectares of woodlot on North half l7.ot 3, con. 8
E.D. was. approved.
By-law # 10, 1981, a by-law to establish a Community
Recreation Centre (creative playground) at Brookside
•School yard, was given three readings tend passed.

has even record

Goderich last Tuesday, com-
ing out with an 8 to 6 loss.
The local boys left 11 men on
bases but could not get the
key, hit needed for a win.

enson and Hugh Todd shared
the pitching duties. •
On Sunday night Lucknow

hosted Teeswater with the
batters on' both teams having
a hay day. Home runs by
Hugh Todd and Bob Cran-
ston paced the local boys to a
9 to 8 victory.
