Keith van . der Hoek reported on the meat blocks, John Gamble on the road signs and the need to replace two bleachers. Bob Osborne reportedon the 4-H clubs. For many years the stagingof a com- petition to pick a Beauty Queen to represent the Ripley fall fair has been pro- posed and turned down each time. Finally, due to the ef- forts of the new president uee John, Gamble the society moved that this competition be held this year. with Bar- bara Gamble . and Judy Hawrylyshyn, two •of the. ladies in charge of ar- rangements. Judy gave a report on the costs :involved.,.
