The Ripley Agricultural

room in the high school on
Monday evening May 11 with
18 people in attendance

need to replace two
bleachers.

the 4-H clubs. For many
years the stagingof a com-
petition to pick a Beauty
Queen to represent the
Ripley fall fair has been pro-
posed and turned down each
time. Finally, due to the ef-
forts of the new president

be held this year. with Bar-
bara Gamble . and Judy
Hawrylyshyn, two •of the.
ladies in charge of ar-
rangements. Judy gave a
report on the costs :involved.,.
So at long, last it looks like
Ripley will join Tiverton,
Kincardine, .lu►cknow and
Teeswater .ill having: a girl

The..chi'ldren 'of St. Joseph's Community'
School took part in a special prayer service
for the pope on the day of the assassination
attempt: They were joined at the school by
Father Dentinger and about 40 '.members of
the St. Joseph's parish.

ernment grant of $1400 to be

tion of teams.
