Guests were welcomed by Eunice Cunningham, Jean Whitby and Belle Mole. Margaret Mowbray, Olive Blake and Elsie Houston were in charge of the guest book and several alarm clock 'prizes which were donated by Cedarhill Garden Centre, Margaret Mole and Quinn's Flowers and Gifts. The col- ourful lawnfurnishings; loaned by Machan's Home Hardware, enhanced the set, ting for the nicely decorated tea tables which' Anna Mae Hunter and her committee very capably served. Tea was poured by several members. A very successful sale table was well managed by Margaret Mole and Robin Logan. A number of Purple Grove women were guests of Holyrood Women's Institute on Thursday evening. Nancy Quinn of Lucknow was the guest speaker. Paul and Nancy Green- wood and family visited on Sunday with John and Joyce Farrell and family. The Greenwoods are moving to their new home in • Veeswater. Donald and Sandra, Forster and family ' visited last week with Francis and Irene Boyle, and on Sunday • with Lynn Geddes., Mr.. and Mrs. Thompson McPherson of Teeswater visited recently with Mr. and Mrs. Don Robertson. Sunday visitors with Mrs. Burton Collins were Ed and Sandra MacGillivray and ' family of Ripley and Margie Lougheed of Kincardine. Visitors with Don and Mae Dore last week were Frank Dore and Robert Robinson of London and Cathy Dore and friend Colleen of Kitchener. Mr.. and Mrs. Don Dore surprised her father, Mr. William Wood of Durham with a birthday party on Mother's Day. The party was held at the Hartley House in Walkerton and . those in attendance were Jim and Alexa Dore of Wingham, Cathy Dore and Keith Perry of Kitchener, Vicki and Ken Holland of Marton, Don and Mae Dore, and Mr. and Mrs. Wood. Mr. Wood was presented with gifts and cards and a cake Which was made by Cathy. It was his 83rd birth- day. The Lneknew*Hortieultural Society, held their mining tea at ,the Lucknow Legion on Wednesday afternoon. Communion and Baptism were held at Trinity 'linked Chutch on Sunday, ,May 17th. Rev. Stewart Miner and Mrs. Miner of Exeter came to Trinity for the service. The children presena ted for baptism were Jeffrey William, son of Stephen and Anne Andrew; Laura Lynni daughter of Larry and Janet Wilkins and Scott Alexander, son of Gary and Dawna Rich- ardsOti. Rev. Miner and elders, Ken Alton and Mrs. Ella Hackett went to the Sepoy Apartments on Sunday after- noon to have communion for the people there.'
