entary Science classes on
Tuesday afternoon, May 5.
He showed a film to each
class, explained the set up of
the various departments and
how a person is trained to
become a Conservation Offic
er. He also answered ques-
tions from the pupils about
the work of forestry firefight-
ers and rules and regulations
about fishing hunting and.
trapping.
On Tuesday, May 5, Mrs.
McMillan came to the grade
751 Spelling and Language
classes. She talked about
Word Processing with com-
puters. Her' talk was •very

Brian Shook from Kincar-
dine spoke to all the Elem-
entary classes last week. He
showed us his High School
Art PortfoIie as well as his
work from the Fine •Arts
•course at the University of
Guelph. We were interested
to see the samples of various
techniques in art, some of
which we have tried our-
selves. Mr. Shook's presen-
tation was very interesting as
were his answers to stud-
ents' questions.

Our Variety Night was a
great success as, we had a
good turn out, last Thursday
night. Following it, friday
night we had our commence-
ment for the graduating
students and for thOse who

received awards.
Our Prom is coming up in a
couple of weeks, on May 22
for anyone who wants to
come besides the high School
students And grade 8s. Crip-
pled Duck will be playing,
tickets will be available from
R.D.S. students.

trip td Toronto recently to the
Planetarium and ChinatoWn.
They really enjoyed them
selves and found the Chinese
culture interesting.
The children potted begon-
ias for Mother's Day. Moth-
ers are very special and the
children wanted to • show
their appreciation. The junior
grades made ceramics and
the senior grades did cer-
amics and, cants.
The grade seven and eight
students are looking forward
to their Ottawa trip. They are

the trip.
