Sunday, May 3 the Bluewater Kennel Club held a Sanction and Obedience Match at the Bay- field Arena. From the entries in the many recognized breeds of dogdoni. the club officials , smoothly staged a match which brought the final six group winners of the day_ together to compete for the always coveted Best in - Match award. This went to an Airedale puppy owned by Allan and Carole Preece of Centralia. Five month old Chalma Alncaire Super Mite, familiarly known as "Mouse" was .the overall winner, who in doing so upheld a tradition establish- ed by her father, Ch. We are pleased to report that Mrs, Marion McCharles is once again up and around after being under the weath- er for about a month. Cecil Webster has return- ed to RiAfeld, Ohio, The Ripley Horticultural Society had a very pleasant bus trip on Wednesday. Their first . stop, was at the Rock Glenn Conservation Area. It was here many of the .ladies found fossils to keep and saw many waterfalls and. wild flowers, They then went on to Gleicoe to the Tender Toot - se Retail Outlet Store, Here you waited on yourself and picked your . shoes from the many bins and shelves in the store, As you can guess many ladies got two pair or AI so. Fromhere they went to West Lorne to Swains' Greenhouses. Then on to London to the White Oaks Shopping Mall, Here they did some shopping and had their dinner. The ladies from the Lochalsh area on the bus trip were Mrs. June Wylds, Mrs, Dorothy Finlayson, Mrs. Marjorie MacLean and Mrs. Kaye Thorbur~n. The ladies said it was a lovely trip but came home tired and refreshed from the beautiful sites.
