The devotional part of the meeting was chaired by Mrs. Mamie Henderson, The theme being, Mothers, she read the poem entitled, The Mother's Watch. The scrip-. tore lesson was read by Miss Lorna Campbell. The meditation was given by Miss Helen Thompson. In keeping with the theme, she chose Hannah, the Mother of Samuel, to emphasize "Motherhood". Mrs. Ellen Cardis led in prayer, follow- ed with a beautiful musical number by Mrs. Ritchie • entitled, Mother. The study portion was taken by Mrs. Gertle Treleaven, speaking on India, where her daughter Ruth and husband have been sent. It proved most interest- ing. Two musical numbers were sung, •entitled, My Mother's Prayer by Mrs- Marnie Henderson, Mrs. El. len Cardis, Miss Helen Thompson and ' Mrs. Bill Catnpbell. • A very successful hobby sale was held with Mrs. Bill. Campbell as auctioneer. A dainty lunch was served by the committee in charge and a social hour enjoyed. .• • Unit 3 U.C.W. On Tuesday, NItry 5 Mrs. 'Raynard Ackert welcomed 17 members of Unit 3, Lucknow U.C.W. at her home, Mrs. Harvey Houston pre- sided and opened the nmet! . .
