Ladies 6:30 bowling league
holds annual awards banquet
The Ladies 6.30 Bowling
League held their annual;
banquet and social evening
at the Anglican Parish Hall at
7 p.m: Tuesday, April 21.
Each lady received l a glass
candy 'jar,: flower stick pin
and two • Easter ' eggs . from
their league. Novelties .don'
ate& from the Royal Bank.
Bank of Montreal. The Lot-
tery Shop, Super Loto, Wint-
ario. and. Provincial Dealer,
Pepsi Cola. Chisholm's Fuel,
Adamson's insulation. Sepoy
Stationery, Bain's. Grocet-
eria, Lucknow Custom Weld-
ing, and Kemp's General
Store.
A business meeting was
held with president Bernice
Kemp' presiding. The treas-
urer's report was ' read by
Joyce Adamson. Nomina-
tions were held for new •
officers for the 1981.82 seas-
on. Officers are as follows:
president, Joan Livingston; .
vice president, Mary . Cle-
land; treasurer, Joanne Men-
ary • and secretary, Roberta
Whytock. '
The presentation of troph-
ies and gifts was conducted
by. past vice president Joan
Livingston and past treasurer
Joyce Adamson.
The winning team of the
regular season's bowling
were the Pretzels and their
capfain Roberta Whytock
was presented with the Dud
Hamilton .trophy , : by Joan
Livingston. The team mem-
bers were Roberta 'Whytock,'
Grace Elliott. Gerry Mc-
Cann, Karen. MacDonald,
Helen Todd, Maudie Fisher,
Jessie`.Joynt, Hazel Webster
and Joy Jurjens,, Each player
received a trophy of which
six were donated by Ernie.

The, season's trophies
were won by the following

by Grace Elliott with 295.
high triple by Lorna Button
with 707. high single with
handicap with' 348; high
triple with handicap by Mild-
red Cameron with 817. Susan
Mengers won the ..most im-
proved, bowler with 16 pins
above her average from last
year.
The winning team in the
playoffs were . the Chiclets
and were presented with
trophies by Joan and Joyce.
The team members were

Miller, Mildred Hogan, Vi
Arnold, Joan Robinson and
Colleen Eedy.
The playoff trophies were
won by the following: Rob-

single with 288;. Bernice
Kemp won the high triple
with 699; Anne . Anderson
won the \high . single with
handicap with 326; and Lana
Sanderson won the high
triple with handicap with
860.

weeks of bowling.

BLUEVALE Twelve-year-
old Sandra • Thompson of
Bluevale, in a wheelchair
since she was four, got an
early birthday present from
her parents last week.
The gift is a gloat bike
