Falconer replied that the reasoning was

Subsequent to a meeting with editors of
the county's weekly newspapers in March,
the board endorsed a motion changing . the
monthly meeting to the first Thursday of the
month from the traditional Monday meet-

meeting day virtually ruled out the possibil-

to be able to attend.
Resolutions from five niun-
icipalities were presented to
council. As.. a result West
Wawanosh Township Coun=
cit' supported a resolution
from the Township of West
Nissouri that the ; Govern-
ment of Canada and the
Government of , Ontariobe
encouraged to work together
to expand and, extend Natur-
al Gas transmission' lines so
that rural and small urban
areas would be , given 'th

opportunity to be connected •
to Canada's natural' gas `re
sources:
Council. also supported ' the
resolution of the Regional
Municipality. of Hamilton -
,Wentworth that the Attorney
General for Ontario and the
Minister of Justice for Can-
ada be, advised of our con-
cern to. have persons who
carry firearms dealt with
more severely° when brought
before the courts because of
the involvement' in a criminal
act, Hamilton-Wentworth's
`proposal is a sentence of not
less than. 20 years in prison
for anyone carrying a, firearm
while participating ina crim-
inal act, and the invocation 'of
the death penalty for. a'
criminal, . who . shoots and
kills ,a policeman.` hile
