Thursday after- noon at the home of Mrs. Ellwood .Elliott, The presid- ent, Mrs. Lorne Eadie, was,. in charge and opened :the meeting with a welcome. She read the prayer of St. Francis of Assissi. The roll call was the pay- ment of fees, .and two dona- tions were received and more Bruce County Women's In- stitute Rally 25th anniversary plates ;were sold. Mrs..: William MacPherson read the minute% of the previous meeting and the communications from the Bruce County Historical Soc. iety and the Lucknow Agri- cultural Society. Mrs. Alex Percy' reported 1 on the : District Directors' meeting of Bruce South Dist- rict Women's ,-. Institutes, which washeld at Lucknow on March14. The Federated Women's Institutes will`meet in three years time in Van- couver . and the Area ::Con- vention will be held at Pais- ley. Hofyrood will be in charge of the Crafts and quilt department . at the Bruce South .District meeting at Ripley, hosted, by .the Purple, Grove Institute, Each mem- ber is to bring; a craft to. this. meeting on May 19. President, Mrs. Lorne Eadie; 1st vice, Mrs. Charles Mur- ray; secretary treasurer, Mrs. Wm. MacPherson; as- sistant, Mrs. 0. Gingrich; district director,. Mrs. Alex Percy; pianist and public relations officer, Miss Edna Boyle; cheerio; Mrs. Charles Murray and Mrs.. Mex Percy; auditors; Mrs. John: Scott, Mrs.. Ellwood Elliott, Mrs. .Lorne . Mrs. Midford Wall, con- cession 10, attended a bridal shower on Sunday afternoon for Miss Joan Hackett at the. home of Mrs. Chester Hack- ett. ack-ett.. At the Bruce County Child- ren's Aid Society.tin meeting g held at Chesley, awards were presented to Foser Parents. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Page who`have the honour of: being five year foster parents and have given much care and time to these dear children.. Their last child was only five days old when he came to them.
