also took a days tour to Fuji.

hockey team to see' Detroit
play hockey against Buffalo
on Saturday. ,.
Debbie Searle and Cathy
Brooks enjoyed: a trip to
Florida, They motored down
and were gone for about ten
days.

back in the years when the
building Itself was a burned
out shell, and the school work
was carried on in the old
Ripley Public'School.
Kiet La of the Cambridge
area was home last weekend
to visit with his wife My Hoa
La and their daughter and
son ' and also , her brother
Vingh oTranh at their
apartment on ' . Malcolm
Street. .
On Saturday, Evelyn and
Jack Johnson of - Ripley
visited with A.J. and Glenda
Gardner and sons Aaron and
Brenda in Vanastra.
On Mar. 25 Mrr: and Mrs.
Earl Lohnes of Ingersoll and
formerly of Ripley were
accompanied by her
daughters Mrs. Selby
Williams and Mrs. Green to
the home of Marion and
Ambrose Gamble. on Ripley
Street in Ripley. Between 30
:and 40 friends and former
neighbours called to wish
Mrs. Lohnes a . happy 90th
birthday on the occasion of
this visit.
, Her .actual birthday' was
this past Sunday Apr, 5.
Everyone was pleased- to
see Mr. and Mrs. Lohnes •in
good health arnd'spirit They;
also visited their former
home across the road from
the home of Marion and
Ambrose.

Leonard Irwin. While the
ladies.. visited with Mrs.
Lohnes,Earl had "a chatwith
Ralph Hunter.. The Lohnes
home in Ripley is -now owned
by Wally and Kerry Houston.
Last Saturday, Sharon
Struthers of Lucknow visited
Lori Emnnerton ; in Ripley
and in the evening they
visited Sharon.Bolte. Also on
Saturday Cindy Enmerton'
visited with her grand-
parents Ruth and Bill
Bogues in Lucknew. Cindy
went- •bowling in Lucknow
with her ,grandfather on
Saturday evening.
