By Vickie ¶ wen and
Craig Irwin
On Wednesday, March 11,
grade four and five of Luck-
now
ucknow Central Public .School
toured CKNX radio and tele-
vision station. . The field' trip.
is in conjunction with their
study of Communications..
The students were shown
around the studio, new
room and various station
departments by tour guides
who were very helpful with
`their information.
The students were taken
into the newscasting studio
which is much smaller than
you would expect. The .stud-
encs enjoyed seeing themsel-
ves on closed . circuit TV.
They visited the, art depart-
ment where Mr. Vair ex-
plained how art is used, in
television. He gave three old .
promos to Mrs. .Blank to
bring back to the classroom.
The trip helped the stud-
ents understand how televi-
sion works.
The students would like td
thank the parents who drove,
Sharon Dietz, Sandy Collyer,
Elaine Irwin, Marlene Stru-
thers and Mary Lou priestap.
