euchre party at Brookside on
Thursday evening with 15
tables in play. High Man was
Grant Curran. Maxine Maze
was high for the ladies.

Saturday netting over $100.
Harold Menary is the leader ,
of this group. It is intended
to rotate offices among the

It was reported in last
week's column that Tom
Webster was a patient in St.
Joseph's Hospital and com®
ing along well. We are sorry
to report that on Tuesday,
Tom suffered a Massive
blood clot.

was held at the Agricultural
Hall with a good crowd.

Belgrave ladies Co-op team
of which Joan Riley and Vicki,
Park are members.
There were plenty of
laughs and good sports to
family of Belgrave who lost
their home by fire recently.

mile five week trip in Janu-
ary and February. They
visited with friends and rela-
tives in Manitoba and North
- Dakota, then travelled , south
to Texas and then east to
Florida. They found the
roads and weather good all

you are already a church
member. A good cross sec-
tion of teenagers and adults,
confirmed and unconfirmed
should make the meetings
more spiritually meaningful.

side in the Public. Speaking
contest at the Lucknow Legi-
on on Friday, February 27.
She will go on to compete in
the zone Cl finals in Seaforth
. on Mara 7. .
• Girls and boys school hock-
ey is finished for another
season:The co-operation of
the captains helped the seas-
on to run snioothly. In the
girls division the captelits
were Janice Cook and Wilma
Vanderveld. Boy's captains
were Jeff Gibson and John
D. MacKenzie.
Monday, March 2, was the
birthday of Dr. Seuss, who
was the author of many
children's books. Grade 2
have been learning about Dr.
Seuss and his books so they
had a birthday party in his
honour, and all enjoyed
chocolate cake.
On March 1 Janice Cook
went to Chatham to compete
in the Basket Ball Free
Throw contest. She was in
competition with nine other
competitors and tied for third
place.,
Kindergarten registration
for next September was held
on Wednesday with over 50
children showing up to regis-
ter.
Report card time is rolling
around again soon.
