The third meeting of the
Kingsbridge. Seamstresses
was held on Monday, Febru-
ary 16 at the ' home of the
assistant leader, Karen Reu-
rink.
They discussed patterns,
fabrics, pins and shears.
Leader Cathy Drennan talked
about statystitching, sewing
darts,, gathering seams and
finishes with samples used to
describe each. She showed
the girls how to press seams,
darts and ' gathers properly.
Each member then started
to prepare their samples. '
Fourth Meeting

The fourth meeting of the
Kingsbridge 4-H club was
held on February 26 at the
home of Diane Van Osch.
Cathy Drennan showed the
girls how to apply infusable
interfacing.. and each of the
girls made a sample using
this type of •interfacing.

the Lucknow Brownies,
Guides and Pathfinders met
on . Tuesday, February 24 .,in
the Town Hall.

munity School, Kingsbridge.

ipated. The two winners in
the senior division were
• Maria Dalton, first, speaking
on Being an Aunt; Bill Card,
second, speaking on Noth-
ing. In the junior division the
two winners were Katherine
Murphy, of St. Mary's, God-
erich, speaking . on The Dis-
abled, and Billy Van Beers,
St. Joseph's, Clinton, speak-
ing on Cucumber
