HERITAGE DAY
In 1965 Canadacame alive,
We had a new flag of red and
white,
With a ' red maple leaf that
was a pretty sight.
It was hung. , on a pole so
everyone could see,
l'hat our country is always•
going : to be free.
Canada is rich in oil,
And veryrich in soil,
-.We, have lots: of livestock,
And vegetables too.
So we won't go hungry,
I and you.

I am glad that I, live here.

HERITAGE DAY
In the world there are a lot of
furious faces,
And many of these faces
came from Canadian
places.
For example take Emily
Carr,
Her paintings were known,
In each direction, very far.
There are a lot of other fam-
ous people,
But please don't forget,
The other faithful citizens,
And there Will still be more
yet.
But there is more to Canada,
Than just famous people,
Like trees and water,
And the . church and their
steeples.
In Alberta and British Col-
umbia,
The mountains reach to the
sky,
in the" other
birds and airplanes
