Brussels did score with about five minutes _ left on a uvenires %cu The Juveniles suffered their first doss of the playoffs on Sunday as\Paisley downed Lucknow by a score of 8.7.. It was a .do or die ,situation for Paisley and backed with solid goal tending, they .managed to score twice as many goals as- in the two previous games combined. . Lucknow took a 2 1 lead in the first period and at the end of the second Paisley had tied the score at three. Early in the third period a goal by Brad: Humphrey . put the home team ahead and de - ducky bounce but the boys held their poise and restored the ,two goal margin with 2.17 left. Goal by McFarlan, assists to Gilchrist and. Mac- Kenzie. Final score 4 2. With :the series tied, the' advantage . was Lucknow's and on Saturday, the. boys ' picked it up right where they left off. Constant skating, checking and passing carried the play right to Brussels. The Brussels team seemed frustrated when they found • a Co-op green in front of them every time they: tried a play. The game winner was the first goal of .the game, scored by Andy Grazier on a shot from the point. But :the, score sheet preyed 'that this game was a real teameffort: as nine players recorded points: Chris Irwin •3, Chris .Collyer.,. 2. At one point a shot by Steve Simpson bolinced off the goal tender and" hlled down his back, but was stopped before it could cross the. line. With forty seconds remaining Lucknow . pulled the goalie with the face off in the Paisley 'end for a six man attack. Six seconds later Barry Elphick took a pass from Steve Simpson ,and drove a . hard shot past the ' Paisley goal tender to make the score 8 7 but-Lucknow was unable to tie the game in the last half minute. The best of five series now stands at two games to one for Lucknow with ; the next game set for Friday night at 9 p.rn. in. Paisley.
