Word was 'received that • Chester Pinnell of Mildmay underwent surgery onTriday in St, " Mary's Hospital in Kitchener. We wish him ' a speedy recovery. Chester is a cousin of Clifford Young. Mr. and Mrs. Len Cough- lin, entertained visitors from Port Elgin on Sunday. Sympathy of the commun- ity is extended to Mrs. Flor- ence Raskin and, family ` of Stokes Bay in the `loss of her husband. who passed 'away Tuesday, January 27. Flor- ence lived near Whitechurch for gttite a few years and was well known in this district. Sympathy is also extended to relatives of Mrs. Donald Cameron (the former Eva Morrison) who passed away in Brantford, February 1. She lived, when a youngster on her parentsfarm at Lang - side and attended . Langside School. The Whitechurch Young Peoples Rally was held last weekend. A snowmobile and toboggan party was held Saturday afternoon with sup- per being ' served in :. the Whitechurch Hall after- wirds. In the evening volley ball 'and crab soccer were played in the Lucknow School gym after which Terry. Trites, the minister from Bluevale spoke to them on "Religion in Rock and Roll" in the Whitechurch `Hall.
