On Monday evening of last
week a . Slide presentation
'.When the chips are Down"
was shown to the parents and
interested students- of the
school,' It was based on the
influence of electronics and
computers on the world in
coming years.
On Friday morning. Mr.
Howe of the French Depart-
tnent of the'Goderich District
Collegiate,. came ' to the
school to talk to the students
of grades seven and eight
and also had interviews with
any parents who wished to
meet with him. '
At present, the grades
from four to eight are prepar-
ing their speeches for the
annual Garvey Public. Speak•.
ing Competition to , be held
the middle of February.

enjoying themselves.
Ladies' volleyball isstill
going strong., on Tuesday, ev-
enings from eight o'clocl'e' to
ten o'clock. There is still
room for more ladies inter-
ested in playing. ,
On Sunday afternoon Mar-
vin and Donnie Scott took out
their teams of horses and two
sleighs and members' of the
Scott families as well as a few
neighbours and friends and
little children enjoyed a nice

,• ride. and a treat of coffee.

Mr. and Mrs. Denis Cham-
pagne and their three daugh-
ters`have moved to their new
home in Kincardine from -our
community:

daughters, Bonnie and Lin-
da, are the new Cid Guide
Leaders for the Kingsbridge
Girl •Guides. Their meetings
are now every Tuesday ev-
ening at seven o'clock in the
school, The Brownies, along
with their leader, Karla Hog-
an, rneet at the same time.

The first . meeting of the
Kingsbridge '4-H club was
held on. Tuesday, January' 20
at the ''home. of Cathy Dren-
nan.
The leaders of this club are
Cathy Drennan and Karen
Reurink, There are six mem-
bers participating. The new.
members were welcomed
and the club topic, "Ready...''
Get Set...Sew!" was intro-
duced.
Election of officers was

meeting.
