Da. uel Dong's N ►se
When Daniel R. Dong looked in the mirror; his heart
was filled with loathing and fear. He couldn't believe the
sight that he saw -- on his face was a very large flaw "'Oh
no," he cried. "Oh no! My nose!" He linked again from a
sideways pose.. "It's. true," he .,sighed; r'it''smuch too
long. Your nose has grown Daniel Dong."
"I have to fix it, and make it small," said Daniel Dong
to the mirror on the wall. He found some tape in a; kitchen
drawer in a corner behind the door-. This, he thought. will
fix it good! He squished his nose as flat as he could and
wound the tape around his head, hoped for the best, and
went to bed.
Allnight long he hoped against hope that he'd wake up
and not be a dope. When morning came^ he lept out of bed
and tore the tape from the hair an his head.
`Ouch," he cried. -"Tape sticks to hair!" He pulled and
pulled -and tried not to care. And thenhe couldn't believe
his eyes — his nose was exactly the same huge size. "All
day long I'U look like a fool." He pulleddown his'hat and
trudged off to school.
He called for Kim along the way. "Hi;" she sighed, "oh
what a day.;,
"What's up?" said Dan. "Is something wrong?"
My nose," sighed Kim, `'is much too long."
"It is?" gasped Dan. "Well! So is mine!
"Oh Dan, smiled Kim.: "Your nose is fine."
"I like yours too!" said Daniel Dong.
"Hey," said Kim. "Then there's nothing wrong!"
"No," laughed Dan, "it's the'; way it goes."
"Nobody,"• said Kim, "is pleased with their nose."
They laughed and tan and zoorhed to school. Neither
Dan nor Kimfelt like a fool.
