• When Daniel R. Dong looked in the mirror, his heart
• was filled with loathing and fear. He couldn't believe the
sight that he saw — on his face was a very large flaw, "Oh
no," he cried. "Oh no! 1Vly nose!" Hely-liked again from a
sideways pose., "It's true," he sighed, "it's much too
long. Your nose has grown Daniel Dong."
"I have to fix it, and make it small," said Daniel Dong
• to the mirror on the wall. He found some tape in a kitchen
drawer in a corner behinathe door. This, he thought, will
fix it good! He squished his nose as flat as he could and
• wound the tape around his head, hoped for the best, and
went to, bed. •'
• All night long he hoped against hope that he'd wake up
and not be a dope When morning came he lept out of bed
and tore the tape from the hair on his head.
"Ouch," he cried. "Tape sticks to hair!" He pulled and
pulled and tried not to are. And then he couldn't belieVe
his eyes his nose was exactly the same huge size. "All
day long P11 look like a fool." He pulled down his hat and
trudged off to school.
Ile called for Kim along the way. "Ili," she sighed, ;'oh:
what a day.",
"What's up?" said Dan. "Is something wrong?"
• My nose," sighed Kim, "is much too long." •
"It is'r' gasped Dan. "Well! So is mine!'
"Oh Dan, " smiled Kim. "Your nose is fine." ••
• "1 like yours too!" said Daniel Dong. ,
"Hey," said Kim. "Then there's nothing wrong!"
• "No," laughed Dan, "it's the way it goes."
• • "Nobody,' said Kim, "is pleased with their nose."
Tilley laughed and ran and zopmed to school. Neither
Dan nor Kim felt like a fool.
