To help us start off the New Year right the Lucknow
Branch Library recently received four new shelving units
donated by the Lucknow and District Kinsmen. Three of
these units are portable wheeled :units for the children's
area and one is a large 8' floor to ceiling unit for the adult
non-fiction area which previously was so crowded that
there were books piled on the floor. Many thanks to you,
Kinsmen.
The holiday season, was a busy one apparently as there
are approximately 100 books still overdue from this period.
To encourage the return of these and any other overdue
books, the week of January 7 through 14 will be a Free
Return Week when no fines will be charged. Please return
your library books!
The Lucknow Branch Library will have a 16 mm film
projector on loan from the Georgian. Regional Library
System for the winter months beginning mid-January.
There will be free Friday night moviessuitable for all ages
starting soon at the Lucknow Town :Hall. Community
groups interested in borrowing the projector can contact
the librarian. Films are ayailabie at nocharge from the
National Film Board Library and must be booked at least
two weeks in advance, ;
