Midgets finish
half of schedule
The Lucknow Midget record stands at
8-3-1 following Monday's home • stand
'when they finished the easy half of their•
schedule against Walkerton 'B'.
The game ended rather kindly for a
Lucknow team that got off to a terrible
start. The Walkerton team out -skated and
out -hustled the Lucknow skaters every
shift in the first period- and were rewarded
with a. 4 - 0 lead. In second period act/ion,'
the home town boys started to skate a bit,
tightened the defense a little and outscored
the Walkerton team 4 - 1 in that period.
"The third belonged to Lucknow as they
out -skated a tiring Walkerton team and
out -scored them 6 -:1. At the bell, the
scoreboard read Lucknow 10, Walkerton 6.
The scoring leader was Sam Murray with
two goals and two assists. Jamie Hum-
phrey had one goal and two axsists. Fred
Flanagan, Chris Irwin, Brad Priestap, John
Vandervelde and Jeff Walden had. two
points each while Steve De Jong, Andy
Grazier, Kirk Livingston and Steve Van
Osch had single, • points.
